The concept has been built up by Thorbjørn and his wife Lutta. We are talking 30 years of hard work, love of creating, love of climbing, love of nature, love of imparting knowledge and an eye for detail. Because it's love we're talking about, Lutta and Thorbjørn will always be a part of Klatrekafeen
Building a brand, such as Klatrekafeen and Nordnorsk Klatreskole has become, commands enormous respect. Klatrekafeen is not only known in Norway, but far beyond the country's borders.

We took over Klatrekafeen in 2022 and it is in many ways completely unreal. Klatrekafeen is an iconic place where you meet people from all over the world, climbers, skiers, fishermen, mountain walkers, paddlers, yes, all people with all kinds of interests can be met at Klatrekafeen. We do and will do everything we can to take care of the atomosphere that has been created over 30 years. We have already failed and will surely fail again. But we are learning all the time and we will do everything in our power to keep the good, warm atmosphere that is at Klatrekafeen

True to tradition, we have a Halloween party at the climbing cafe, we choose the best costume regardless of whether it is with or without clothes. This is an evening that everyone should experience, the party factor is very high. Those who leave early can even get accommodation with us, but it should be booked early

This music festival, which starts every year in Henningsvær, has built up an incredibly good reputation over the course of almost 20 years - both among artists and all the visitors who make the pilgrimage here to hear good music and good blues.

The pre-Christmas adventure has taken place for over 15 years, and it has become a tradition for many to come here year after year. Our visitors greatly appreciate the "mall-free" Christmas shopping and visits to our local artisans, combined with our many restaurants and cozy cafes. In addition, we have two impressive art galleries, Galleri Lofoten and KaviarFactory. At Trevarefabrikken and Klatrekafeen we can look forward to a number of concerts during the Pre-Christmas adventure.
